Introduction

This Policy describes the types of information we collect, the lawful basis for its processing, the measures we apply to protect it, and the rights of data subjects.

This policy is strictly restricted to Easylandly online platforms, website, related sites, services and tools. It does not apply to third-party websites and platforms.

EasyLandly Limited respects the privacy of its users and is committed to safeguarding personal data in accordance with the Nigeria Data Protection Regulation 2019 (NDPR) and the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023 (NDPA) and other relevant laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

Consent

By selecting ‘I Agree’, submitting personal data, accessing or using Easylandly’s services and website in any manner, data subjects acknowledge that they have read, understood and accepted this Privacy Policy and consent to the data practices described herein.

Data subjects reserve the right to withdraw consent at any given time.

Data subjects who do not wish to comply with the provisions set forth in this Privacy Policy may be denied use or access our services or website.

Scope

This Policy applies to all persons who access or use EasyLandly’s digital platforms, including buyers, renters, agents, developers, advertisers, and partners, whether through the website, mobile application, or related services.

A. Personal Identification Data

Name, contact information, physical or mailing address, photographs, and government-issued identification documents such as National ID or Passport.

B. Business and Agent Data

Agency details, corporate registration numbers, business addresses, and documentation evidencing authorization to list or manage property.

C. Identity Verification Data (Sensitive Personal Data)

To prevent fraud and ensure compliance with Know-Your-Customer (KYC) obligations, EasyLandly may collect and process National Identification Numbers (NIN), Bank Verification Numbers (BVN), or similar identifiers.

Such data is used solely for verification and authentication.

By submitting this data, users expressly consent to its processing for the stated purpose. EasyLandly may share it only with authorized third-party verification providers that comply with the NDPR and NDPA.

The information shall not be used for marketing, profiling, or unrelated activities.
Sensitive data is encrypted, access-controlled, and deleted or anonymized within statutory timelines after the verification purpose has been fulfilled.

D. Transactional Data

Payment information, subscription details, invoices, and billing records processed through secure third-party gateways.

E. Technical Data

IP address, device identifiers, browser information, and usage statistics obtained via cookies or analytics tools.

F. Optional Data

Feedback, reviews, and responses to surveys or promotional campaigns.

Purpose of Processing

Personal data is processed only for lawful and specific purposes, including:

  • User registration and identity verification;
  • Management of property listings and related transactions;
  • Payment processing and subscription management;
  • Communication of service updates or notifications;
  • Prevention of fraud and maintenance of platform security;
  • Compliance with legal and regulatory obligations; and

Sensitive verification data such as BVN or NIN shall be securely deleted or anonymized within ninety (90) days following account closure or withdrawal of consent.

EasyLandly implements appropriate technical and organizational measures, including encryption, access control, secure transmission protocols, and periodic audits, to protect personal data against loss, misuse, unauthorized access, or disclosure.

While all reasonable precautions are taken, users acknowledge that no system is entirely immune from security risks.

Cookies

The platform uses cookies to identify users, maintain sessions and improve functionality. Users may disable cookies through their browser settings, though certain features may not function properly thereafter.

International Data Transfers

Personal data may be transferred to or stored in jurisdictions outside Nigeria on any of the following conditions:

  • Consent of the data subjects.
  • Performance of a contract between data subjects and Easylandly or Easylandly and a third party in the interest of data subjects.
  • Pre-contractual measures taken at the request of data subjects.
  • Establishment, exercise, defense of legal claims or compliance with legal obligations to which Easylandly is subject.
  • Legitimate interests pursued by EasyLandly, provided such interests do not override the rights of the data subject.

Under the NDPR and NDPA, data subjects have the right to:

  • Request rectification of inaccurate data;

  • Withdraw consent to processing of personal data;
  • Object to certain forms of processing;
  • Request transfer of personal data to self or a third party and
  • Lodge a complaint with the Nigeria Data Protection Bureau (NDPB).

Inquiries, complaints and requests may be submitted to info@easylandly.com and will be addressed within the prescribed statutory period.

Children’s Data

EasyLandly does not knowingly collect or process personal data from persons under the age of eighteen (18). Any such data inadvertently obtained shall be deleted upon discovery.

Marketing and Communications

EasyLandly may send service notices or promotional content to registered users.
Recipients may opt out of marketing communications at any time without affecting essential service notifications.

14. Limitation of Liability

EasyLandly shall not be liable for any loss or damage arising from unauthorized access, data breaches, or misuse of information by third parties beyond Easylandly’s reasonable control.

Users are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of their login credentials and verifying the accuracy of information provided.

Data Breach Response

In the event of a data breach likely to result in harm to data subjects, EasyLandly shall notify affected individuals and the NDPB within seventy-two (72) hours of becoming aware of the incident and shall take remedial action in accordance with applicable law.

Amendments

EasyLandly reserves the right to amend or update this Policy from time to time. The most recent version shall be posted on the website, and continued use of the platform after publication shall deemed as an acceptance of the revised terms.

Governing Law and Jurisdiction

This Policy is governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria including but not limited to:

  • Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria;
  • Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023 (“NDPA”);
  • Nigeria Data Protection Regulation Implementation Framework, 2020;
  • Nigeria Cybercrimes (Prohibition and Prevention, Etc.) Amendment Act, 2024;
  • Nigeria Federal Competition and Consumer Protection Act, 2018 (FCCPA);
  • Nigeria Freedom of Information Act, 2011;
  • Nigeria Freedom of Information Act, 2011.

Any dispute arising from or related to this Policy shall be resolved by arbitration in Lagos, Nigeria, in accordance with the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, and the arbitral award shall be final and binding.
